This is a really lovely hotel in a perfect location to explore the Georgetown old town area. The hotel is very modern and spotlessly clean. I can not think of a single thing that I could complain about. I should give a special mention to Angel, the very helpful receptionist during my stay. She is perfectly named and the hotel should treasure her.

It was really clean and comfy room. Just stay for 1 day but I wish to stay longer because the it was really comfortable. The bathroom is super clean too. I love the bed the most because it’s too comfortable that you just want to stay there for long time.

The location close to Little India is fantastic. The restored historic building just amazing - with little hidden doorways and rooms everywhere. And the tranquil pool to retreat to in the hot afternoons was a delight.

The styling of the hotel is very unique and individual, look no further if you like boutique hotels - every little detail in the rooms and public areas is done thoughtfully and with purpose, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. I've been to many hotels in my life and this is for sure one of the most memorable ones I've ever stayed! Just look at the fotos on the website - in reality, it looks even better.

All the rooms are decorated with vintage furniture and modern artwork, the building is an old Indian house with patio and garden. The rooms are very large, there again furnished with vintage pieces, and very well equipped. The icing on the cake is the friendliness of the staff: we were welcomed by Anna, who remembers all the guests names and is a formidable host. I should not forget the great breakfast in the adjoining restaurant room (same attention to details in the decoration) with cooked plates and fresh fruit. The location is perfect, just off the main sites and animated streets. Don't miss out on 23 Love Lane Hotel to go back with long lasting memories of your stay in Penang!

Many thoughtful touches … especially milk in the fridge for my tea! Restaurant very good when Italian food is appealing . the staff so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend enough!

visiting Georgetown
Easy to move around with the free city bus. Lots of food stalls; excellent food everywhere. Historical Georgetown with Chinese, Indian, Malay, Muslim etc. areas is very interesting. Lots of shopping options: markets, shops, shopping centers. Easy to take a taxi for an island tour. Must visit places outside Georgetown: Penang Hill (great view, cooler air), Kek Lok Si temple, nature park, Batu Ferringhi area (beach, night market).

Great food!
Nice little city with a good vibe, especially during the night. Food culture in George Town is excellent. The Penang national park provides a few nice hikes.

Mahtava kaupunkikohde, paljon nähtävyyksiä museoista markkinapaikkoihin, siisti hyvin kompakti kävellenkin hahmotettava keskusta. Taksilla myös helppo käydä tutustumassa lähikohteisiin kuten Penang hill.

Great shopping malls, lovely, LOVELY food, warm weather; modern and old mixed together nicely, great friendly people always willing to help, and most of them speak English. Loved it! Easy, safe and very inexpensive to move around by taxi. It was wonderful to find such a beautiful place! If it wasn't sooo far from my home country (12 + 1,5 hours flight time), I'd sure go there more often. Hopefully some day I find myself there again. Penang / George Town, you took my heart and soul <3
